Community is exceptionally important in recovery – addiction isolates people from the world around them, and rebuilding lost connections is critical to success. It’s why safety, trust, and community are the primary values of The Edge Treatment Center. We will be active teammates through the process of recovery, and we’ve crafted a welcoming, safe environment for everyone.
We maintain that environment in a variety of ways:
We have weekly activities and regular events centered around having fun, building trust, and creating healthy connections with an understanding that substances aren’t necessary to enjoy life. These communal activities extend into daily life as well – by eating together, being active together, and recovering together, we create lasting bonds which foster a healthy lifestyle.
The Edge is host to something unique in the treatment world: a dedicated LGBTQIA+ group. Developed at the request of our clients, this group allows members to not only share coming out stories and connect with common LGBTQIA+ issues but also educate the world at large about the lives and experiences of this culturally diverse community.
A sober living home is an environment where you can work towards recovery free from distractions, addiction triggers, and harmful social influences. Sober living homes give those in recovery more than just independence – being part of a community dedicated to the same goal has distinct advantages for someone in (or just out of) drug and alcohol rehab.
