ZOLPIDEM

Frequently prescribed under the name Ambien, zolpidem is a prescription sleep aid. A non-benzodiazepine sedative, zolpidem is increasingly being used to treat insomnia as it’s seen as a safer drug to use. Unfortunately, zolpidem abuse exposes users to many dangers, including addiction. When abused, zolpidem can cause users to do things while they sleep, including driving. 

Zolpidem abuse puts many people into emergency rooms. It’s also strongly psychologically addictive. Zolpidem addiction is treatable, but the process is difficult and benefits from professional intervention. A detox center should be the first step in treating zolpidem addiction.
