SECOBARBITAL

Secobarbital, often prescribed under the brand name Seconal, is a barbiturate prescription sedative. Largely obsolete these days thanks to benzodiazepines, secobarbital has a grim reputation: in the US, it is the most frequently used drug in physician-assisted suicides. 

Secobarbital abuse was once fairly common. Although secobarbital use has greatly declined, it’s still possible to get secobarbital, either via prescription or purchase on the street. 

Secobarbital addiction treatment can be complex and difficult. A detox center must be the first step on the way to recovery.
