Drugs

Darvocet is a combination of acetaminophen and propoxyphene. Propoxyphene is an opioid narcotic. The FDA banned the sale of Darvocet in 2010 due to links between propoxyphene and fatal heart abnormalities.

Abuse of any prescription painkiller is dangerous – like all opioid narcotics, propoxyphene is potentially addictive when abused. Combined with its FDA ban, Darvocet abuse is exceptionally risky. Darvocet addiction is treatable but can be complex and unpleasant. A professional detox center can help with Darvocet withdrawal.
