AMPHETAMINES

Amphetamines are a class of prescription stimulants used to treat attention deficit disorder, chronic fatigue syndrome, and other medical conditions. Less powerful than their cousin methamphetamines, amphetamines are still addictive and often abused. 

ADHD drugs such as Adderall and Vyvanase are often abused by pressured students looking for ways to study longer or for an advantage on an exam. While amphetamines do affect sleep patterns, there is no proof that they improve cognitive ability. 

There are substantial risks to abusing amphetamines, including disturbed sleep patterns, heart disease and even stroke. Plus, buying counterfeit prescriptions can be insanely risky as they may be contaminated with other drugs. Amphetamine addiction is treatable, but professional detox must be the first step.
