ALPRAZOLAM

Alprazolam is a member of the benzodiazepine class of drugs. Prescribed under the brand name Xanax, it is a medication used to treat anxiety disorders and other conditions. 

Introduced as a safer alternative to barbiturates, benzodiazepines can create peaceful, euphoric feelings when used. It’s why alprazolam is often abused, particularly by teens as it can be a relatively easy drug to access.
